Why was I charged a late-cancel or no-show fee?
A £5 fee applies if you cancel within 1 hour of the class start time (or after 10pm the night before for early classes, 5:30–8am). A £10 fee applies if you don't show up at all without cancelling. It also counts as your one class for that day.
Why it applies even on a quiet class
Spaces still matter even when a class doesn't look full or waitlisted. Someone else may have been checking back hoping a space would open. The booking system can't distinguish a full class from a quiet one, so the policy applies consistently across all five gyms.
How it reaches your account
Fees are added automatically to your next monthly payment, or invoiced separately if nothing's due that month. You'll be notified when a fee is applied.
Doesn't apply to
Open Gym sessions.
Switching classes late
If you swap to a different class after the cancellation cut-off, the original booking still gets the fee, since someone else lost the chance to take that spot.
Promoted from the waitlist overnight?
It still counts as a confirmed booking. See how the waitlist works for how to avoid an unwanted overnight promotion.
Disputing a fee
We'll always listen. Waivers are rare, to keep things fair for everyone, but genuine emergencies, sudden illness, or a confirmed system error are considered.
